Personal Life:
Saud was born on 9th April 1963 in Karachi. He belongs to one of the most prestigious and respected families. He identifies his roots with the highly revered Siddiqui family of Nanauta town of Uttar Pradesh, India. He is the great-great-grandson of Muhammad Qasim Nanautawi who was the co-founder of the Deobandi Movement. Carrying the legacy, his great-grandfather Hafiz Muhammad Ahmad was a religious scholar who offered invaluable services for the cause of Muslims of the sub-continent. His father Zahir Qasmi was a famous qari and naat khawan. He was the first Pakistani male to recite Surah Fateha on Radio Pakistan to mark the beginning of the transmission. His uncles, Shakir Qasmi and Waheed Zafar Qasmi are also renowned naat khawans and qaris. Shakir Qasmi was the first Pakistani male to recite at the international platform of the United Nations. He used to do a program of Quranic recitation on PTV, called Iqra.
Saud’s most of immediate family was settled in America. When he debuted in the Pakistani film industry he was already living in America. However, he traveled back and forth to do movies. When questioned about his interest in the film industry despite belonging to a religious family, Saud asserts that his family never showed any discomfort regarding his decision. His mother supported him in whatever choices he made in life. Saud was very much attached to his mother. She passed away battling cancer. He was in Karachi when he heard about her illness. He immediately flew to the USA where she was living. He spent the last six months of her life with her in the USA. However, he regrets not spending enough time with her.
Saud married Javeria Jalil, now known as Javeria Saud in 2005. It was one of the most celebrated weddings in the showbiz industry of that time. It was a mega event which lasted 21 days. Celebrities of the film fraternity and drama industry participated in the felicitations of the uniting family. Saud and Javeria have two children, a daughter Jannat, and a son Ibrahim.

Acting Career:
Saud began his acting career in 1993 with the movie, Gunah. After that, he did a couple of movies including Chor Machaye Shor, Hawain, Insaf Ho to Aisa, and many others. His last movie in which he acted was Ishq Positive, produced by KSL Productions.
Saud also ventured into acting in dramas. He essayed the role of Shirazi in his production serial, Yeh Zindagi Hai. He also appeared in the hit drama serial Ishq ki Inteha. He played the role of the husband of Azra in Baby Baji. Correctly he is appearing in Mohabbat Satrangi as Azeem.
Production Career:
After marriage, Saud along with his wife, Javeria opened a production house called JJS Productions. They gave several hit drama serials under this banner. Yeh Zindagi Hai was one of the most popular serials that ran for about six and a half years. Another blockbuster was Khuda Aur Mohabbat. Yeh Kaisi Mohabbat Hai and Jeena Seekha Do Hamein are also some serials of JJS Productions.
Overall, Saud has acted in and produced more than 150 dramas and films altogether. However, Saud is a little disappointed since he did not get due credit for himself and his team for several projects. These include Khuda Aur Mohabbat and its iconic OST which was written by Javeria Saud.
