Personal Life:
Sanam was born in London. However, her family moved to Pakistan while she was still young. She completed her o level from Bay View High School and A level from L’Ecole College. Her father was a reputed interior designer while her mother was an art teacher. Sanam has two siblings, Adnan Saeed her brother, and Amira Saeed her sister.
Sanam belongs to a multi-ethnic family. Her father is Punjabi while her mother is Memon. Belonging to an elite family, Sanam was always intrigued about the life of a commoner. It was her mother’s endless support that allowed her to burst her security bubble and discover different colors of life. She started modeling at 16 years old. However, it was a very short-lived career.
In 2015 Sanam Saeed married her childhood friend Farhan Hassan, an investment banker from Karachi. Sanam settled in Dubai with her husband. However, she was traveling back and forth to take care of her ailing mother. She recalls it as a dark phase in her life. She could not settle in her marital life as well. Sanam and Farhan parted their ways amicably. In 2018, Sanam announced her divorce.
In 2021, Sanam and Mohib Mirza got married in a private ceremony. They announced their marriage in 2023.
Sanam is very vocal about human rights and social responsibility. She has always used her power as a celebrity for good causes. She has been an ambassador for breast cancer awareness for Shaukat Khanum’s campaign. Sanam was very close to her (late) mother who passed away battling cancer. She considers it her responsibility to create awareness among the masses about the fatal illness.
Career:
Sanam has explored her potential to the fullest in her career. She has tried modeling, acting, singing, and whatnot. She performed the background vocals in the third season of Coke Studio Pakistan for songs Alif Allah, Aisha, and Chori Chori. She has also worked in theatre for the plays: –

Sanam made her acting debut in 2010 with the blockbuster drama, Daam, which aired on ARY TV. She skillfully essayed the role of a snob and over-ambitious girl. In the following year, she gave another hit drama, Mera Naseeb. This time she played the role of a poor but outspoken and confident girl. Audiences loved Sanam’s performance as she always stood for the right. Sanam’s career is full of versatile performances. She also played the role of a timid, victim of an abusive marriage, Yamina in Mata-e-Jaan Hai Tu.
Sanam’s most loved performance will always be Kashaf in Zindagi Gulzar Hai. She portrayed the role of a strong-headed, blunt, realistic, and intelligent middle-class girl. She received three awards for the drama.
Sanam essayed negative roles as beautifully as she did romantic roles. In Kadoorat she performed magnificently as the stepdaughter and sister who eventually finds the right path.
Another feather in Sanam’s cap is the mega blockbuster serial, Diyar-e-Dil. A drama shot in the beautiful location of Gilgit Baltistan captivated the audience’s hearts like no other. Sanam’s character, Roohi, in the drama, showcased multiple facets. From a young, loving girl, to a vengeful and insecure wife and mother, Sanam portrayed beautifully how Roohi had remorse for her unreasonable behavior in the end. It is one of her top-notch performances.
Sanam has worked in numerous telefilms as well. When it comes to movies, she has done considerable work. From mainstream commercial movies like Ishrat Made in China to art movies such as Cake, Sanam has done it all.
