The very talented and gorgeous, Zara Noor Abbas has kept the legacy of the most gifted sisters alive. Being daughter of Asma Abbas and niece of Bushra Ansari, Zara might have had an easy path to enter the industry. However, with the privilege came pressure of constant comparison with the raised bar set by her mother and aunts. With a charming face and beautiful smile, Zara won the hearts of audiences convincingly.

Zara was born on 13th March 1991 in Lahore. Her father Abbas Gill has served in Pakistan forces. Her mother, Asma Abbas is a veteran actress and a cancer survivor. She completed her graduation from Beaconhouse National University in film design, dancing, theatre, and film making.

Since childhood, Zara knew she had to become an actor. She would participate in plays, dance competitions and shows. At her TEDTalk, she recalls how she struggled to convince her father to allow her to participate in a play in Iran. She counted on her mother’s support to get the permission, which she eventually got.

As she grew older, her passion for acting became more intense. Her father did not want her to join the showbiz industry. Her parents coaxed her into getting married as they would not let her act. She can pursue her dreams once she is married. Hence she got married. However, it was a marriage for wrong reasons and did not last long. Her parents realized their mistake and let their daughter pursue her passion.

Zara recalls the time her mother was diagnosed with cancer as a tough time in her life. Being very close to her mother, Zara could hardly bear the tragic news. She realized she had to be her mother’s strength and support her along the course of recovery. By the grace of Allah she defeated the grave illness.

Zara and her husband Asad Siddiqui met at a film premiere. Asad had worked with her aunt, Bushra Ansari in Geo’s drama serial. She approved of Asad and felt the two would get along well. Asad was also a divorcee. They got married in 2017. Zara has had a bitter experience of miscarriage. She talks openly about how she went into depression and self-blame after that. It was not easy for the couple to go through such a misery. By the grace of God, the couple has recently announced that they are expecting their first child again.

Zara debuted in Fahim Burney’s drama, Dharkan, opposite Adeel Chaudhry and Ghana Ali. Audiences liked Zara’s performance in the serial. Next, she appeared in Khamoshi along Bilal Khan, Affan Waheed, and Iqra Aziz. This was a blockbuster drama which also got nominated for the best play in Hum TV awards. Zara’s most-acclaimed performance was in Ehd-e-Wafa, whereby she essayed a happy-go-lucky girl who was madly in love with her husband. In Badshah Begum, she portrayed Jahan Ara, a strong girl who finds herself tangled in dynastic politics, sibling rivalry, and power games. In Jhoom, she depicted Dr. Maryam, a cool and composed girl. It was a romantic drama that audiences loved. Apart from dramas, Zara Noor Abbas has also appeared in movies. Her couple with Ahmed Butt in Parey Hut Love received a lot of love from people. Zara is not only a talented actor but has a melodious voice. She ventured into singing with Kashmir Beats Season 1. Her song, Marjavaan garnered a lot of praise from fans.

Extending her responsibility as an artist, Zara takes active part in social work as well. She partnered with UNHCR to help refugees in Pakistan as well as globally. She also appeared in TEDTalk held at Government College University in Lahore to influence the youth.
